Undersecretary for Civil Aviation Affairs Abdulrahman al Gaoud has been granted the “Figure of the Year” Award for his exceptional contributions to the civil aviation sector.
This came as the Dubai-based Al Bustan Rotana Hotel hosted an Award ceremony to honour the civil aviation business.
Over 700 prominent personalities representing the largest companies and organisations in the aviation sector attended the ceremony.
According to a poll organised by “Arabian Reach”, a Dubai media establishment specialized in conducting research and issuing monthly publications on the aviation world, 90,000 participants from the Middle East, North Africa, central Asia and Russia, voted for Al Gaoud.
“The Award is Bahrain’s achievement and thanks to the constant support of Deputy Premier Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa whose follow up and sound directives have brought about a qualitative leap in the field of civil aviation and made one of the main tributaries of the national economy, providing job opportunities for more than 50,000 families in the Kingdom.”
“Bahrain has made major contributions to the civil aviation and will continue to do so thanks to the support of the wise leadership,” he added.
