Dr. Abdul-Hussain bin Ali Mirza, Minister of Energy and Chairman of National Oil and Gas Authority chaired the seventh meeting of the Board of Directors with representatives from Occidental, Mubadala and Nogaholding companies as members of the Board.
The meeting discussed a number of organizational matters as well as the audit plan and approved the Enterprise Risk Management Project that was proposed for the Company. The Board then was updated on company operations including the increasing level of oil production and other corporate matters.
His Excellency was satisfied with the progress Tatweer has made so far during the first half of the year. The Board congratulated Tatweer for the successful implementation of the first stage of Gas Compression project beginning April 2011 and consequently its gas management initiatives aimed at controlling associated gas production.
Dr. Mirza expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the wise political leadership of HM King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister and HRH Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince for their continued support to the Petroleum industry in the Kingdom.
Dr. Mirza, also, conveyed his thanks and appreciation to the Executive Management and all employees of Tatweer Petroleum for their dedication and hard work.
