The Philippines government has lifted a travel ban to Bahrain following assuring reports from its embassy that life has turned back to normal, the Philippine Ambassador to Bahrain Corazon Yap-Bahjin told Bahrain News Agency.
The Kingdom’s efforts to protect the Filipino Community in Bahrain were also hailed in the reports, she added pointing out that travel to and from the Philippines will be normal as usual.
She also expressed profound thanks and gratitude to the government for the care accorded to the Filipino community in Bahrain which reflects strong friendly relations between both countries.
A blood donation campaign was also organized by the Philippine embassy in cooperation with Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) and the Filipino Club at SMC in recognition of the Bahraini government’s efforts in looking after the Filipino community, the ambassador said adding that another blood donation campaign will be held on June 12 at the embassy to marking the Philippines’ 113 independence anniversary.
