The undersecretary for Islamic Affairs at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic and Endowment Affairs Dr Fareed bin Yacoub Al Muftah who headed Bahrain’s delegation participating at the International Religions Dialogue in Hungary affirmed that the conference presented several positive indicators on a consensus towards pushing forward this dialogue.
Dr Al Muftah said that this would reinforce relations between countries and citizens that would in turn preserve for people their security and achieve for them joint livelihood in light of mutual respect. He said that the meeting gave the Bahraini delegation an opportunity to project the experience of co-existence and diversity of religions along with its multi-cultural characteristics of Bahrain.
He also affirmed that the kingdom was and would continue to be the land of peace and co-existence among all religions and sects. Moreover, some human rights officials also were able to attain a clear image and correct information about the situation in the Kingdom of Bahrain especially in the recent period.
Dr Al Muftah also met with the Secretary General of Social Societies and the President of the Human Rights Organisation at the Freedom of Religions authority who reviewed the reality of what was happening in Bahrain hailing their understanding to the situation.
The undersecretary hailed the call for dialogue by His Majesty the King affirming that this should begin from within reflected Bahrain’s true characteristics over the centuries related to dialogue and harmony.
