The US Administration reaffirmed its support for Bahrain’s stability. US Vice President Joe Biden voiced his country’s supportive stance as he received at the White House His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander.
Biden wished His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman success in leading the national dialogue.
He also expressed the hope that the initiative would yield an agreement accepted by all parties and ensure Bahrain the status that reflects the aspirations of the leadership and people.
HRH Prince Salman lauded the US for its stance in support of the national dialogue announced by His Majesty King Hamad. He expressed the hope that the multiparty dialogue would succeed in achieving the national consensus that anchors political participation for all in Bahrain.
He outlined the steps which are being taken to forge ahead on national dialogue. HRH Prince Salman renewed an invitation to Biden to visit the Kingdom of Bahrain, hoping the visit would be soon.
The two leaders discussed historic friendship bonding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the US. They also spotlighted key regional and international issues, stressing the importance of consolidating security and stability in the region. In this regard, he stressed the necessity for all parties to support this initiative, to ensure Bahrain’s progress and optimize national achievements.
The meeting was also attended by Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince’s Court Chief Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al-Khalifa and Bahrain Ambassador to the US Huda Nonoo.
