As part of its commitment to supporting the strengthening of women’s causes and initiatives, Zain Bahrain has announced that it will sponsor Bahrain Business Women Society in the popular women’s portal www.womengateway.com which serves as an information search engine that supports the women development in business, social and health; and is a successful national product of Bahrain that won international and regional awards for its contribution to the empowerment of women; under the patronage of HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM King Hamad and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Women.
This is the third consecutive year that Zain Bahrain is sponsoring the portal which presents a positive picture of Bahraini women and their achievements to the world.
“Women in Bahrain are equal partners in the task of nation-building and face modern challenges and avail of advantages such as good education and career opportunities,” Corporate Communications Manager Samya Hussein, said.
“Women Gateway is doing pioneering work to disseminate news of this great change in the perception of Bahraini and Arab women to the world in three languages; and Zain Bahrain aims to contribute towards the cause taken up by HRH Princess Sabeeka through this support.”
Ghada Al Sayed the Head of Women Gateway and Board member of Bahrain Business Women Society, praised the consistent support of Zain Bahrain and said the company’s help went a long way towards spreading the good word about empowerment of Bahraini women.
“Information is the currency of the New Age and Women Gateway has been working to depict the true picture of Bahraini women and their achievements to the world through a strong presence in cyberspace. Zain Bahrain’s support is a great encouragement to us,” she said.
“This year we will have added value to the Bahrain Business Women members such as special Zain services and products that will be an added feature for them. We also aim to conduct social media management seminars at their Society to disseminate valuable messages to the press. We will also be conducting Telecom Services Seminar at the Society premises to add value to the message behind this portal,” Samya Hussein added.
