Zain Bahrain’s dynamic General Manager Mohammed Zainalabedin has been selected by the prestigious industry journal Global Telecoms Business as a key industry trend-setter in the under-40 category for the second year in a row.
The prestigious list, which tracks the most promising executives around the world in the global telecoms industry, was earlier featured Zainalabedin in 2009.
Mohammed Zainalabedin has been commended for his dynamism and his analytical approach to making Zain Bahrain one of the technology leaders in the region.
Zainalabedin, who in a previous year has been the only GCC telecoms leader in the list, said he was honoured and humbled by the unprecedented second time inclusion.
“I am honored and humbled by this inclusion in the circle of 40 global telecoms executives who will change the industry in the days ahead,” said Zainalabedin.
“Much of the credit goes to the Zain Group’s transparent and forward-thinking leadership vision that draws the best from its management team. I would also like to credit my success in no small measure to the dynamism of Zain Bahrain’s staff who has utilized the company’s cutting-edge technological advances to reposition the company as the key full-services company in Bahrain, thanks to our innovative WiMAX services.”
Colleagues have praised Zainalabedin as a focused HR leader who always puts people first – whether staff or customers – in a business where technology rules, thus earning Zain Bahrain the reputation as a caring company and one with excellent customer service benchmarks as well as ambitious and successful HR development policies for staff.
Zainalabedin, who has been with Zain Bahrain since it started operations in the Kingdom, has helped to steer the company skillfully on the fine balance between its important work as an innovation hub for new mobile technologies on behalf of the group and commercial success. He heads a team of more than 300 at Zain Bahrain and has successfully retained the company’s Bahrainization lead of more than 91%.
