Bahrain Parliament’s single largest opposition party, Al Wefaq National Islamic Society, decided to take part in the National Dialogue deliberations kicks off on Saturday at Shaikh Isa Cultural Centre.
The decision to this effect was announced by Al Wefaq on Friday saying that it would participate in the National Dialogue begins on Saturday. Political circles in the Kingdom lauded the decision of the opposition and said that it would make the discussions and validity of the Dialogue widely acceptable and credible.
In a press conference held at the society’s headquarters in Zinj, former MP Khalil Al Marzooq said their society was ready to engage in the talks.
“Five members from our society will take part in the National Dialogue,” he told reporters.
The society’s confirmation came hours after it organized a peaceful gathering in Duraz that was attended by thousands of its supporters.
