The Chairman of Alba’s Board of Directors, Mahmood Hashim Al Kooheji will represent Alba at the National Dialogue whose sessions officially commenced on Saturday, July 2, 2011.
He expressed appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for launching the National Dialogue. Alba affirms continuing commitment to Kingdom of Bahrain’s social, economic and political stability.
Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba)’s selection in the ongoing National Dialogue is a re-affirmation of the company’s commitment to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s social, economic and political stability.
The National Dialogue is aimed at developing a consensus from various segments of Bahraini society, and providing a platform for articulating different strands of views and opinions without any set preconditions. The four main areas for discussion under the purview of the National Dialogue will include politics, economy, society and legislature.
“We would like to express our appreciation and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for undertaking this noble initiative of launching the National Dialogue,” said Mahmood Hashim Al Kooheji, Chairman Alba, said.
“We are confident that it will play a key role in facilitating dialogue between communities, allow free exchange of views and opinions without any preconditions, and foster greater social, economic and political stability,” he added.
“I am greatly honoured to represent Alba at the National Dialogue, and to be given the privilege of presenting the company’s views on strengthening Bahrain’s economy and boosting its industrial growth. As a company that exports over 45% per cent of its products outside Bahrain, we do believe that the success of the National Dialogue will benefit the industry and mark a new phase in ensuring greater stability on the industrial front.
In addition, two of Alba’s employees will be participating in the National Dialogue. Ali bin Ali will represent the Alba Labour Union and the Head of Recruitment and Organisational Development; Rawdha Salman Alaradi will represent the Bahrain Society for Training and Human Resources.
