Bahrain paid a rich tribute to Egypt for its sincere supportive stance during the recent deplorable events in the Kingdom. His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa expressed his deep appreciation as he received at Al-Safriya Palace Egytian Prime Minister Dr. Essam Sharaf, who conveyed greetings from Head of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi and wishes of further progress and prosperity for the Kingdom of Bahrain.
HM King Hamad reaffirmed Bahrain full support to Egypt in its efforts to overcome this defining moment of its history.
The two sides held key talks on bilateral relations, and Arab and international issues of joint interest, stressing firm keenness to continue consultation and coordination to the benefit of both brotherly countries and peoples. HM King Hamad said that the Egytian Premier’s visit epitomized deep-rooted historic relations and solid bilateral cooperation, wishing Egyptian people and its leadership success in its endeavor.
He stressed the pivotal role of Egypt, pointing it its utmost importance as a strategic depth for the Arab nation.
He also lauded Egypt’s unflinching efforts to cement Arab solidarity and cooperation promotes joint pan-Arab action and defends common causes in all arenas in the world.
HM the King and the Egyptian Premier discussed key Arab issues, stressing the importance of achieving just, permanent and comprehensive peace in the region.
They also spotlighted the challenges facing the Arab nation, stressing the importance consultation and coordination at the highest level to promote joint action, strengthen collective security for development to be achieved in an environment of security and stability.
HM King Hamad extended his greetings to Head of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi.
The Egyptian Premier expressed thanks and appreciation to HM King Hamad, lauding his keenness on bolstering fraternal relations in all fields.
