His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa directed the official to exert massive efforts to boost the Kingdom’s power generation to meet present and future demands.
He directed to continue upgrading the oil and gas sector to meet the needs of Bahrain’s development process and enhance contribution of this sector to the local economy.
He urged to adopt ideal alternatives to ensure the Kingdom has access to all types of energy stressing the government’s keenness to boost natural resources for the benefit of all citizens.
He also directed to ensure continuity of Bahrain refinery, boost its longevity and promote its competitiveness by modernizing it and increasing production of high quality oil by-products.
HRH the Prime Minister underscored the need to follow-up on energy projects by luring more investments in this field.
The meeting also spotlighted some vital development projects in the oil and gas field which are either state-funded or will be financed by investment companies.
Energy Minister Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza gave a briefing on the present and future oil and gas projects which aim to boost productivity and raise oil and gas reserves.
Alternatives to boost oil revenues were also discussed alongside other key issues pertaining to the oil and gas field.
HRH the Prime Minister directed to adopt awareness programmes aimed at protecting energy and ensuring best use of it by promoting healthy practices in this regard.
Chairman of the Representatives Council Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani commended the national contributions made by honest and patriotic Bahraini writers, and their adherence to objectivity and transparency, stressing the importance of the results of the National Consensus Dialogue launched by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Al Dhahrani also asserted that officials and writers should assume their national responsibilities and promote national belonging among the citizens of the one-family Bahraini society, calling for the need to consolidate the culture of successful dialogue and document the National Consensus Dialogue.
This came as Al Dhahrani received here today the Secretary General of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed Al Amine who offered him a copy of his book themed “Consolidating the Culture of Successful Dialogue 2011 Dialogue.”
Al Dhahrani praised the book’s topics and identification of the requirements of a successful dialogue as the best way to overcome crises and face challenges.
