His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, asserted that Bahrain’s deep-rooted identity, based on mutual respect and freedom of expression guaranteed to all components of the Bahraini society, has safeguarded the kingdom’s national cohesion and helped it overcome all crises.
Speaking as he received, at Al Riffa Palace, the Acting US Ambassador to Bahrain Stephen Sieche, HRH Crown Prince stressed that mutual respect and freedom of expression should go hand in hand in a way that ensures that rights of others are not harmed or undermined.
HRH Prince Salman also pointed out that the National Consensus Dialogue, launched by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, is one of the results of the comprehensive Reform March anchored by HM the King ten years ago, expressing hope that the dialogue will consolidate moderation and tolerance so as to enable the kingdom to carry on it national project based on justice, equality and balance between rights and duties. He also praised the excellent level of the Bahraini-US ties, which, he affirmed, are built on mutual respect and joint keenness to enhance strategic cooperation at all levels.
The US Envoy expressed admiration of HRH Crown Prince’s views and comprehensive analysis of the latest local and regional developments, reiterating his country’s resolve to strengthen its solid ties of cooperation with the kingdom.
Head of HRH Crown Prince’s Court Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al Khalifa attended the meeting.
