Over 30 views will be on the agenda of the expatriates’ forum today. Up to 60 parties and figures representing foreigners and expatriate communities will attend the symposium as part of the National Dialogue, being held at the Isa Cultural Centre.
Views concerning expatriate communities, associations, religious institutions and public figures will be on the agenda of tomorrow’s forum.
The symposium is in recognition of the crucial roles of the expatriate communities in building the Kingdom of Bahrain and spearheading its development and progress.
The participants will discuss ways of promoting expatriates’ issues through legislative tools and executive mechanisms in accordance with the Kingdom’s constitutional establishments.
The expatriates’ visions regarding Bahrain’s future and ways of boosting its development and stability will also be discussed On June 1st 2011, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa appointed Parliament’s Speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani to chair the National Dialogue.
The National Dialogue convened on July 2nd, 2011 with the attendance of around 300 participants representing various societies and prominent individuals.
The dialogue aims at bringing together the various segments of the Bahraini society to present people’s views and demands for further reform in the country without any preconditions and with the consensus of all participants.
The Dialogue is expected to revolve around four main topics that include political, economic, social and rights issues.
