He reviewed the circumstances which triggered the recent crisis in Bahrain stressing that the role assigned to him by HM the King aimed to achieve the national consensus dialogue so as to maintain the reform momentum in Bahrain and remove all obstacles to it.
“Bahrain possesses a parliament that represents the popular will as well as all the requirements of a modern state. We have been keen since the beginning to promote the culture of dialogue,” HRH the Crown Prince emphasized hailing the royal decision to set up the commission to protect citizens’ rights and promote justice and democracy and pledging to exert more efforts to make Bahrain more stable, advanced and secure.
He also spotlighted the role of local, regional and international mass media in dealing with the recent crisis in Bahrain pointing out the need to develop relations with such media outlets which, he said, play a pivotal role in shaping the public opinion.
