Aluminium Bahrain’s credentials as a key driving force behind the growth and success of Bahrain’s aluminium industry were highlighted during a visit held in the Alba plant by a delegation from the Economic Development Board (EDB) Bahrain.
Alba’s Investor and Public Relations Manager, Eline Hilal met with the six-member delegation led by EDB’s Director of Financial Services, Boyd Winton.
The EDB delegation was visiting Alba to gain additional insights into the company’s operations that have boosted its productivity and profitability as well as strengthened its position as the world’s fourth-largest single site smelter.
“Alba has been a keen supporter of EDB’s initiatives in promoting Bahrain as a business-friendly destination for international investors. These initiatives have enhanced the kingdom’s prestige globally, and helped in highlighting the incentives needed for international businesses to set up operations in Bahrain. As a Bahraini company that exports almost half of its products internationally, it is with pride that we welcome the EDB delegation to Alba, and share with them our success in promoting Bahrain on the international platform,” Commenting on the visit of the EDB Bahrain delegation, Alba’s Chief Executive, Laurent Schmitt, said.
The EDB delegation was later given a tour around the different facilities at the smelter, and also briefed on the aluminium production process.
