Housing Minister Bassim bin Yacoub Al-Hamer reiterated resolve to reach out to all non-governmental parties and citizens and discussed housing projects across the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He cited the directives of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa to reach out to citizens and gauze their needs and concerns.
Al-Hamer made these comments as he visited the majlis of Mp Abdulla bin Huweil in the Southern Governorate.
He met Governorate and municipal officials, dignitaries and citizens to follow up housing issues and assess obstacles hampering people’s applications.
He updated the majlis on progress of work of existing housing projects which would be completed soon.
The schemes include particularly the area locate at the vicinity of Shaikh Sallman Fort in East Riffa (Phase II), Askar (Phases I and II), Jaw (Phases I and II), in addition to string of other housing projects planned to be constructed in Zallaq, Hunainiya, Safra, Al-Mazraa, in and the area located between Askar and Jaw.
Citing updated figures, he said that the number of applications in the Southern Governorate had topped 3500, pointing out that 2300 of them would be covered as part of current projects.
