The Bahrain Asian Traders Committee (BATC) at the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with Tamkeen (Labour Fund) will host a seminar on foreign companies on Tuesday 23rd August, 2011 at the Bait Al Tijjar premises in Sanabis.
Led by Member of the Board of Directors and Financial Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the BATC, Othman Mohammed Sharif Al Rayes, the seminar will target foreign owned companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain and particularly Asian businessmen and tradesmen. The seminar will aim to introduce Tamkeen’s programmes and its services towards foreign owned businesses in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It will also include a Q&A session in which Tamkeen will respond and answer questions accordingly.
This initiative, along many others, confirms BCCI’s and Tamkeen’s commitment to businesses in the Kingdom ensuring that support is provided to enable growth, stability and prosperity. It also comes in response to the many questions and requests from foreign owned businesses to introduce and familiarize themselves with Tamkeen’s programs and projects which aim to enable the private sector and improve productivity and enhance competitiveness.
Under the direction of the Chairman of the BCCI, Dr. Esam Abdulla Fakhro and the Board of Directors of the 27th Session, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed the cooperation between the BCCI and Tamkeen in developing programmes and plans to enable the private sector and developing productivity and growth including human resource development through the support of Bahraini’s to become the employees of choice and supporting job creation in the private sector.
The Bahrain Asian Traders Committee was established in 1994 within the framework of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the objective of developing trade and encouraging investments between the Asian countries and the Kingdom of Bahrain. The BATC in its current session and under the chairmanship of Othman Mohammed Sharif is directly involved in the formulation of strategies and planning programs to upgrading economic conditions and trade in Bahrain through cooperation and coordination with the various devices and the concerned authorities in the Kingdom.
