Bahrain Political Development Institute announced to host three-day intensive training workshops for the candidates for the upcoming bye-elections.
The purpose of workshop is supporting parliamentary experience, explaining its mechanisms and work techniques, the role of the legislative authority in monitoring and legislation, the qualifying of participants in political work and bye-elections.
The intensive training programme for the bye-election candidates is aimed at explaining them technical aspects of the upcoming bye-election of the lower house of the Parliament. The training programme will continue until 28th August 2011.
CEO of the Institute, Dr. Al-Khayyat explained that the programme would be addressed to the candidates who wish to compete during the bye-elections and their staff working during their election campaigns.
This training programme aims at conducting parliamentary elections that will be characterized as lawful, easy, and transparent as the world usually expected from Bahrain.
CEO of the Institute explained that the programme would be divided into a number of themes to be presented by elite of Bahraini academicians and politicians and lasts for three days.
Explaining the nature of the programme, Dr. Al-Khayyat said, will be comprehensive and touches all aspects of concern to the candidates during a number of sessions. This includes the theme of “election programme” which presented by Dalal Al-Zyed, on Friday in two sessions. The second session begins on Saturday meanwhile the first session will be allocated to media management of the election campaign which will be presented by the University of Bahrain’s media professor Dr. Adnan Bu-Mutai’. The second session will be presented by Dr. Marwan Al-Muddarriss under the title the Constitution and the Political System in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The lecturer will explain constitutional and legal articles pertaining to the election process to be organized in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The third and fourth sessions on the second day will be presented by the Shura Council’s member Dalal Al-Zyed, advocate under the title management and organization of the election campaign.
The lecturer will explain the mass media vehicles in terms of managing a successful election campaign.
On the third but last day, there will be four sessions the first of which will be presented by Dr. Adnan Bu Mutai’ under the title of media management of the election campaign.
The second session will be presented by Dr. Marwan Al-Muddarriss under the title of the Constitution and the Political System in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The third and fourth sessions will be on the third but last day and will be presented by Dalal Al-Zyed, advocate under the title of legal culture of a candidate and training on technical skills.
