Despite an increased demand of food and eatable items during festive season of Eid al Fitr, the supplies of food, vegetables, meat and other consumer items will remain available in the market across the country.
This was assured during the field visits of the Minister of Industry and Commerce Dr Hassan Abdulla Fakhro on Thursday who visited all major markets and Manama Central Market.
Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro accompanied by a number of ministry officials toured Manama Central Market as well as Ramez to ensure the existence of all goods and meat in preparation for Eid al-Fitr.
The Minister began his tour to Manama Central market, where Mr. Redha Al Bustani confirmed the availability of various kinds of fruits and vegetables and the prices are stable and the market is ready for Eid Al Fitr.
In Ramez store, marketing Manager Ghalib Mansoor confirmed that Ramez management keen to provide all facilities and promotions continuously to consumers, and added that markets do not suffer any shortage or increase in prices especially rice.
In term of meat, the minister was reassured on the availability of large quantity of meat as Bahraini Livestock Company officials assured their continuous preparation for the holy month of Ramadan and for Eid Al Fitr, which in turn is witnessing a rise in demand, stressing the importance of supply stability so the citizens feel that.
