Investors Trust Assurance SPC (Investors Trust) has joined the Association of International Life Offices (AILO), a non-profit organization comprised of the most important companies of the international insurance industry, based predominantly in financial centers within the European Economic Area and UK Crown Dependencies, such as the Cayman Islands. AILO will be a valuable resource that will allow Investors Trust to successfully approach potential markets, including Emerging Europe, Middle East and Asia.
The AILO organization has been the main trade consultant for the international financial services industry since 1987 and continues to strive to represent the interests of this particular sector.
The AILO objectives include the representation of members’ interests to governments, regulators, and political, insurance and other trade bodies to assist Members in the development of their business;
the monitoring of proposed legislative, regulatory, taxation and other policy measures with the aim of influencing the development of policy, in relevant jurisdictions; the encouragement of the integrity and professionalism of its members and promotion of these standards to governments, media and other channels and the provision of a forum through which members can discuss matters of common interest, the provision of statistical information and the development and sharing of knowledge.
Investors Trust will participate in the next annual general meeting scheduled for October 2011, which will take place in London. This will be an important opportunity to meet colleagues and competitors, as well as share experiences and new challenges.
