A group of Bahraini students sponsored by KFH-B and inJAz Bahrain were greeted by French Senator and President Pierre Laffitte, Chairman of The Sophia Antipolis Foundation and the founder of the largest science and technology parks in Europe. Senator shared his vision and knowledge in developing the largest science and technology park in Europe. The Senator, who is fond of the Kingdom of Bahrain, took it upon himself to receive the annual Bahraini student delegation in order to familiarize them with the latest scientific developments and motivate them to take interest in science.
KFH-B reported on the excellent progress of students currently involved in the Bahrain Sophia Antipolis Mentorship Program. The group of 12 Bahraini students are undergoing an intensive two-week program at Sophia Antipolis science and technology park located in the South of France, which is the largest science and technology park in Europe that hosts some of the most prestigious international institutions, universities and research centers in the world.
For the sixth year in a row, the initiative has been supported by KFH-B in collaboration with inJAz Bahrain, a non-profitable organization that aims to inspire young Bahrainis for a better future. The students were selected based on their academic excellence and distinctive scholastic track record.
This year’s programme has been focused on implementation and commercialization of research. During their immersion in the world of science and entrepreneurship, the students are interacting with the most advanced researchers in Europe thus building knowledge and experience.
The students, who are mentored by KFH-B and inJAz Bahrain, met mentors met influential people such as M. Dominique Pouliquen, President of the Sophia Business Angels Corporation, and a serial entrepreneur who inspired the group by his success stories. The main goal of this practical approach makes this a unique Programme in Bahrain.
The understanding of research and its numerous applications will enable these young people to have the necessary tools for a better understanding of the corporate world.

The students visited the cities of Cannes and Monaco and its museums and got to know more about their history and tourist attractions.
