The Pakistan Club’s newly elected board on Thursday vowed to serve the community in better, effective and efficient ways by extending helping hands to all needy and less privileged segments of the community.
The new board was elected during elections held at the Club’s premises for the term year 2011-12. The eligible voters elected Iftikhar Ahmed as Chairman; Afzal Bhatti, Vice Chairman; Ejaz Chaudhry, General Secretary; Malik Shakil, Joint Secretary; M.Zahid Sheikh, Press and Information Secretary; Makhdoom Ahmed, Sports Secretary; Shahid Mehmood, Treasurer; Naseem Khan, Entertainment Secretary and Imran Jamil, Literary Secretary.
Press Secretary Zahid Sheikh on behalf of the newly elected board thanked the outgoing board of the Club, which scheduled to handover the official takeover of necessary record on Saturday.
He also lauded the role of the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Government and the leadership of Bahrain for standing side by side with Pakistani community during the unfortunate incidents of February and March this year.
Zahid Shaikh in a statement also appealed the both public and private sectors and the philanthropic organizations to work with the new board members names mentioned above. He also put on record that whoever wishes to help the community or seek any help from the Club should contact the board members directly which he said would help to maintain the highest levels of transparency in day to day dealings of the Club.
