His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa will be at the forefront to welcome Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, who arrives today (Wednesday) on a fraternal visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
“President Zardari will hold talks with HM the King on strong historic relations, in addition to regional and international developments”, the Royal Court said in a statement, welcoming the Pakistani leader and wishing him, along with the accompanying delegation, a good stay in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Bahrain and Pakistan enjoy cordial ties based on mutual understanding, respect and unanimity of views on regional and international issues and efforts are on to enhance the base of the existing ties in trade, commerce and investment sectors. The highly successful visit of HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa to Pakistan in the past had opened avenues of further co-operation in all vital sectors.
Upon arrival, His Majesty King received friendly Islamic Republic of Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari who arrived here to hold talks with His Majesty the King and the leadership of Bahrain regarding the horizons of bilateral cooperation and regional and international developments.
The Pakistani ambassador in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Jauhar Saleem was amongst senior officials who received the visiting Pakistani President at the airport.
