Supreme Council of Women’s secretary-general Hala Al-Ansari received women candidates contesting the upcoming bye-election in the country next month.
The women candidates are participating in the second phase of the training programme being conducted by the SCW for coaching candidates before the upcoming complementary parliamentary elections 2011.
Al-Ansari hailed the candidates for their good efforts, participation in the training program and taking the initiative to run for the complementary parliamentary elections 2011.
The SWC’s secretary-general hailed the efforts of Dalal J. Al-Zyed the member of the SWC throughout the direct, intensive training programme which had its great impact in encouraging and stimulating women candidates for parliament to participate in the training programme.
She also praised the initiative of Dr. Mai Al-‘Otaibi member of the board of trustees in Bahrain Political Development Institute for her participation in training the women candidates for parliament and imparting her vast expertise in the field of media.
Dr. Al-Ansari emphasized that the Council will continue to implement the third phase of this program by offering consultations to all participating women candidates for the complementary elections 2011.
The participating women candidates expressed their utmost gratitude and appreciation to the Supreme Council of Women’s President Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa Spouse of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Monarch of the Kingdom of Bahrain in recognition of Her Royal Highness’s continuous support in boosting the position of Bahraini women. They also praised the training program conducted by the Supreme Council of Women to brush their skills before the complementary elections.
SCW’s secretary-general expressed her hopes and aspirations in the success of the upcoming complementary elections and wished the women candidates to win parliamentary seats in order to realize the best interest of the country and citizens. She supplicated to Almighty God to preserve the Kingdom of Bahrain and its wise leadership from anything bad and to bestow everlasting grace of security and stability on our beloved kingdom.
