Shaikh Isa bin Isa bin Ali AlKhalifa said that launching the Shaikh Isa bin Ali Arab Voluntary Work Award, organised annually by the Good Word Society, in cooperation with the Arab Voluntary Work Union, is in line with his belief in the need to activate the youth role in the civil society organizations and consolidate partnership between NGOs and the public and private sectors in the development march.
Shaikh Isa admitted that the positive efforts made by the Bahraini youngsters recently have inspired him to launch such major Arab event aiming to promote voluntary work.
“Bahraini youths’ patriotism, national belonging and advanced creativity have encouraged us to hold an annual event to promote voluntary work values and culture and enable the Bahraini youngsters to exchange experiences with their Arab counterparts,” he also said.
Shaikh Isa also pointed out that the four-day functions to be organised on the sidelines of the Award, starting on September 15, will shed light on Arab voluntary work pioneers and encourage others to copy their experiences.
He also called upon Bahraini youths to respond positively to the event, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifabin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad AlKhalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander.
