Standard Chartered Bank has announced its partnership with Dnata travel Bahrain, the leading travel services provider in the Kingdom. The tie-up empanels Dnata as the approved travel services provider under the bank’s Travel Points credit card rewards programme.
The partnership enables Standard Chartered Credit Cardholders to redeem their Travel Points for free air tickets and holiday or vacation packages at Dnata. Cardholders can also book air tickets or holiday packages with a Standard Chartered Credit Card without paying any additional charges.
Dnata was established in 1959 as a small ground-handling operation company with just five staff members. Today, it’s one of the largest combined air services providers in the world with over 20,000 employees across the globe. Dnata is spread across 38 countries offering customers its expertise in ground handling, cargo, travel, and flight catering.
One of main highlight of the agreement is that Dnata will not charge any mark-up on credit card payments under the Travel Points redemption process. Further, Credit Cardholders will be offered prompt and personalised services at the dedicated service desk.
The partnership will also enable Standard Chartered Credit Cardholders to enjoy exclusive travel offers and attractive discounts on air tickets and packages on a periodic basis.

The Bank currently has four credit cards for the conventional banking market, each designed for a different market segment and they provide different benefits depending on customers spending habits.
