Bahrain Air is set to resume flights to the Nepalese capital Kathmandu with daily operations from September 21.
Flight BN513 from Bahrain will leave after midnight and arrive in Katmandu in the early morning. The return flight BN514 to Bahrain will also be in the morning and will connect incoming passengers with Bahrain Air’s current flights to Doha in Qatar, Reyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and other destinations within the Bahrain Air network.
“The departure times are designed to arrive in Katmandu early morning to facilitate same day onward travel into Nepal for residents and tourists alike,” Richard Nuttall – Director Commercial Operations of Bahrain Air said.
“Bahrain Air is delighted to be returning to Katmandu after a brief hiatus and that the daily flights are expected to help bring in more tourists,” he added.
“Katmandu is and will remain a core part of Bahrain Air’s network, and we look forward to boosting direct connections between Nepal and Bahrain. It is the start of a new period of growth for Bahrain Air that will include resumption of old routes, some new destinations and agreements with other carriers to boost our network further,” he said.
Earlier, Bahrain Air had launched three weekly flights to Kathmandu, making Kathmandu the 17th destination on its network in March 2009. Kathmandu is also the fourth city Bahrain Air had been operating in the South Asian region.
