With expected sales to fetch $5 billion, the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers include European Airbus, American Gulf Stream, Canadian Bombardier and American Boeing have so far confirmed to attend the Bahrain International Airshow 2012 scheduled for the period 19-21 January next year.
This was disclosed during the Supreme Committee organizing Bahrain International Airshow 2012 meeting held at Al-Sakhir Airbase presided over by His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the personal representative of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Shaikh Abdulla chaired this meeting as chairman of the Supreme Committee which organizes Bahrain International Airshow 2012
His Highness discussed with members of the Supreme Committee a number of topics in its agenda, emphasizing the importance to extend invitation to giant companies to participate in the upcoming Air Show providing companies with encouraging incentives and facilities.
Consultations are underway with the Russian jets’ manufacturer who confirmed their support to the Airshow and said that their participation is pending on finalization of some routine transactions.
Amanda added that Bahrain International Airshow is now ready to go off as a unique highly-reputable international airshow.
His Highness instructed the Supreme Committee to start extending invitations to official military, civilian delegations from friendly and sisterly countries and businesspeople, journalists from all over the world in order to cover this important international event which illustrates the positive image and reputation of the Kingdom of Bahrain as an advanced country which has assumed a prestigious position in the airshows industry.
Brigadier Mohammed Al-Mussallam, member of the Supreme Committee organizing the airshow briefed the meeting on the preparations and ad-hoc committees formed recently in order to ensure the success of the airshow’s events and the presence of distinguished guests from all sisterly and friendly countries specifically extending invitations to high ranking military and civilian delegates and discussed the plans made in order to ensure the safety of citizens and visitors including safety procedures for civilian and military aircrafts throughout the airshow.
His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa President of the Supreme Committee organizing the Airshow expressed his admiration of progress made and the efforts being exerted by the Supreme Committee as well as the ad-hoc sub-committees emphasizing that the Airshow is considered the biggest of its kind in Bahrain and that the value of expected sales exceed $5 billion and remarked that the Airshow embraces giant companies in the Airshow industry which give sufficient clue to the great trust vested by international companies onto the Kingdom of Bahrain.
