In a series of achievements made by the Kingdom of Bahrain on the international arena in the International Competition for Memorization of the Holy Koran, the Kingdom of Bahrain has achieved first position in the Arab Republic of Egypt’s competition for memorization, recitation and interpretation of the complete Holy Koran in which contestants from 65 countries participated and attended by the Egyptian Supreme Military Council’s Chairman Marshall Hussain Tantawi, the Egyptian Minister of Islamic Endowments Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Fadheel Al-Quossi, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif University the Great Imama Shaikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayyib and Cairo governor.
The Kingdom of Bahrain also achieved first position in the International Hashemite Competition for Memorization of the Holy Koran in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for memorization and recitation of ten chapters of the Holy Koran.
“The Ministry and all of its employees, have the honor to submit to Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Monarch of the Kingdom of Bahrain this result as well as other results achieved as a result of His Majesty’s rearing and caring for the Holy Koran and its people and cited the Bahrain Grand Award for Memorization, recitation and interpretation of the Holy Koran patronized by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Monarch of the Kingdom of Bahrain,” Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, said.
Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs and Endowments Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa congratulated the wise leadership and cited the efforts of the chairman of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa in the service of the Holy Quran and for his unlimited support to memorizers of the Holy Koran in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Minister emphasized that the Kingdom of Bahrain will continue to achieve top positions on the international arena in competitions of the Holy Quran memorization, recitation and memorization.
