Suspect Sadok Taher Ibrahim reappeared before the first instance of the National Safety Court (Penal Court) accused of attempted murder, rallying and inciting regime hatred.
The court adjourned the case till September 14 to summon witnesses and allow the suspect to be cross-examined by a psychologist.
Abbas Hassan Ali Malallah also stood trial to face charges of attempted murder and rallying.
The court records a witness’ testimony and decided to adjourn the case till September 14 to hear the other witnesses.
Five other suspects also appeared before the first instance of the National Safety Court (Penal Court), accused of terror kidnapping and rallying.
The court heard four witnesses regarding the events which happened on March 12, 2011. The case has also been adjourned to summon the other defence witnesses.
The court session was attended by representatives of several local and international human rights watchdogs and the suspects’ relatives.
