A number of Batelco management will attend the official opening ceremony of the Third Culture Festival “Ta’a Al-Shabab”, under the patronage of the Minister of Culture, Shaikha May Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, which is scheduled to take place at Bahrain Fort Museum on September 9th.
Batelco, as Bahrain’s leading Telecommunications Company and a keen supporter of community events, is delighted to be the main sponsor as well as take part in this year’s festival by lending support to the organising committee of Ta’a Al Shabab.
Ta’a Al Shabab is an annual youth cultural festival, launched in 2009 with the support of the Cultural Ministry, to direct Bahrain’s youth towards cultural and intellectual undertakings. Through a series of initiatives related to architecture “Darayesh”, reading “We All Read”, research “Hafawa”, literature& music “Tansees” and fine arts “Tashkeel”, young people are provided with the opportunity to interact and learn while sharing their knowledge and experiences.
This year’s theme, “Restoration …Intellection …Approximation” will build on the successes of the past two years and increase the scope of the festival by the addition of a new programme under the theme of ‘Technique’. Batelco’s contribution will support this new programme which has an emphasis on the evolution of telecommunications and Information Technology (IT) and aims to increase youth awareness through a range of displays, seminars and workshops.
