Deputy Premier Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa chaired at the Gudaibiya Palace a meeting of the Government committee in charge of following up and Implementing the National Consensus Dialogue Visions.
The committee decided to refer a number of visions related to the economic theme to the Cabinet, in line with its keen desire to speed up the implementation process.
The committee reviewed the procedures taken so far to implement the agreed upon visions related to the legal theme.
The committee was informed that a total of 18 legal visions related to the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, Human Rights and Social Development Ministry, Justice Ministry, Foreign Affairs Ministry and the Information Affairs Authority (IAA) have already been executed, while 68 others, linked to ministries and state departments and requiring legal procedures by the Executive and Legislative branches, are still being implemented.
Regarding the 85 visions included in the social theme, the committee was informed that 12 visions related to the Human Rights and Social Development Ministry, the Cabinet, Justice Ministry, Civil Service Bureau, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, IAA and the Education Ministry have already been completed, but the remaining ones associated with the Human Rights and Social Development Ministry, e-Government Authority, Bahrain Institute for Political Development, Health Ministry, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, Education Ministry, Justice Ministry, Civil Service Bureau, IAA, Labour Ministry and Culture Ministry are still not finalized as they require new and amended laws and special mechanisms.
Shaikh Mohammed gave directives to form a government committee, involving those who attended the National Consensus Dialogue sessions, in order to ensure that implementation procedures and mechanisms are compatible with the approved visions.
