In the run of the by-election to fill the 18 seats of the Lower Parliament of Bahrain, Sawsan Taqawi, Jawad Abdulla Abbas Hussain and Abbas Ali Isa Al Madi Jawad have been elected as unopposed.
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent a cable of congratulations to Sawsan Taqwi for her winning of by-elections for the Northern Governorate’s second constituency unopposed.
HM King Hamad asserted that Taqawi’s victory reflected the landmark achievements of the Bahraini women at all levels and their effective contributions to the kingdom’s development march, expressing hope that she, along with other MPs, will try to meet the citizens’ aspirations and enhance the political and economic marches.
HM the King also lauded the key role played by the Representatives Council in enacting laws and consolidating the kingdom’s position, asserting that Bahrain’s development march is built by its male and female citizens.
HM King Hamad also expressed optimism that the kingdom’s future will be much more prosperous.
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa sent a cable of congratulations to Sawsan Taqawi marking her winning of the by-elections for the Northern Governorate’s second constituency uncontested, wishing her every success in serving the kingdom and its citizens.
HRH Premier also re-asserted the government’s keen interest to maintain the on-going cooperation between the Executive and Legislative branches, in line with its resolve to create suitable conditions for the Representatives Council to carry out its duties and noble mission.
HRH Premier also lauded the key role played by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa whose pioneering Reform Project yielded innumerable achievements for the kingdom and ensured its citizens the most decent living standards.
Abdulla Abbas Hussain has won unopposed in the Central Governorate’s constituency six after his main rival Mohammed Abdulla Abdulla Al-Abbas pulled out of the race.
Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al-Khalifa today declared Hussain winner, in line with article 15 of law decree 15 for 2002 on the Shura Council and Parliament.
