Ambassador of Pakistan Jauhar Saleem on Saturday affirmed that recent visit of the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari was very important and would help in taking the bilateral ties to new height of excellence.
Ambassador Jauhar Saleem who hosted the local media in his first informal luncheon said that head of State visit from Pakistan to Bahrain after 12-years was significant and both sides resolved to seek all possible avenues of co-operation.
“Though the duration of the visit was brief but it was very conducive for both sides as President Zaradari held very fruitful talks with HM the King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa. During the discussion both leaders covered all important aspects of mutual interest were discussed and both sides affirmed to exert all possible efforts to cement the excellent existing ties,” he added.
He reiterated that both sides enjoy cordial and friendly ties and the 90,000 strong Pakistani community would remain at the forefront in developing and reshaping the national economy of Bahrain.
Ambassador Jauhar said that more co-operation in culture, fine arts and expos would be his priority focus during his stay in Bahrain as he plans art exhibition, fashion and design events and cultural programmes in near future.
