Minister of Energy Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, issued an executive resolution appointing Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa as chief executive of the Oil and Gas Holding Company as from Sunday.
The resolution was issued upon recommendation from the Minister of Energy chairman of the board of directors of the Oil and Gas Company upon approval from the board of directors in coordination with the respective authorities.
Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa will be directly responsible for follow-up of projects of the Oil and Gas Company, a subsidiary of the National Oil & Gas Authority (NOGA).
Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa had been appointed as member in the board of directors of the National Oil and Gas Authority in the year 2009. He also held several executive positions, most recently as Director of Technical Services Department in the Ministry of Finance in addition to being a member of the boards of directors in many government institutions and oil and industrial companies.
