Bahrain Bourse hosted the second part of its three-part training course on Investor Relations (IR) which is organized by the bourse in cooperation with JP Morgan for representatives from several listed companies.
The programme aims at defining the concept of IR and the best IR practices to benefit from their implementation in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The training course, which was presented by a group of specialists from various leading financial institutions, discussed several topics concerning the way communication tools are used to enhance the IR concept and develop the relations between companies with other parties, such as investors, shareholders, regulatory bodies, and the media in a way that will ensure the flow of information accurately and continuously. In return, this will lead to a better understanding of the business sector in general as well as the performance of companies, their strategic plans, and their future outlook.
The second part of the training course also shed light on the communication tools and their various applications considering them as the fundamentals of any successful Investor Relations strategy by defining the role and characteristics of some those tools such as websites, annual reports, financial reports, social networking websites, investor presentations, and other tools in order to achieve effective communication with investors and other concerned parties. The participants also looked at the best practices and implementations through a number of local, regional, and international examples.
Bahrain Bourse has organized the first part of the training programme during 5th and 7th of July following the signing of an MOU with JP Morgan to enhance investor relations expertise in the Kingdom of Bahrain through a certified training program that is conducted annually, and will be offered to companies listed on Bahrain Bourse to transfer IR best practice
