Following a successful tour to the United States, the Economic Development Board (EDB) will lead another extensive road show to the United Kingdom in cooperation with Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and participants from the private sector. The road show, from 10th to 14th October, will cover London, Birmingham, and Manchester.
During the visit, the delegation will hold meetings with domestic officials and corporate representatives from selected sectors in each city, with the objective of reinforcing bilateral economic and commercial strings between the two countries, establishing joint businesses and creating job opportunities for Bahrainis.
This promotion tour will focus on specific sectors that include professional services, technology, ICT, general manufacturing, automotive, plastic, chemicals, and aluminium. It will include holding meetings with businesses in these sectors and participating in various economic events.
The delegation includes Essam Fakhro, Adil Al Dailami, Khalikd Ameen, Ebrahim Al Langawi, Ebrahim Zainal, Khalid Al Zayani, Samir Nass, Jawad Al Hawaj, Tawfeeq Al Moayyad, Hasan Kaiksow, Samir Al Jishi and Ala Ali.
The Kingdom of Bahrain is host for 520 British agencies in the fields of pharmaceutical, engineering, journalism, food, fashion, and automobiles. Around 88 British firms operate from Bahrain in the fields of banking, oil, insurance, investments and others. The Bahrain British Business Council (BBBC) was launched in 2007. Its aims include facilitating trade and investment flows by which British businesses can maintain and grow market access to Bahrain, and providing British and Bahraini companies with market intelligence, business information and advice on legal and financial regulations when pursuing bilateral trade.
