The eGovernment Authority finalizing its preparations to participate in GITEX 2011Technology Week takes place at Shaikh Saeed Hall at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) in the UAE from the 9th to the 13th of October. Alongside this participation are the Bahrain Economic Development Board and 24 private organizations supported by Tamkeen.
Through its participation in GITEX 2011 the eGovernment Authority will exhibit its prominent initiatives alongside its national projects and future plans. Moreover, it will be seeking more investment opportunities and areas of cooperation with Regional and International organizations in order to further evolve and develop the eGovernment in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the region.
The eGovernment Authority will also be representing all Ministries and the Kingdom of Bahrain through its participation where it will showcase over 200 services provided in collaboration with the governmental entities and where it will invite corporate representatives, individuals and interested stakeholders to visit The Kingdom of Bahrain’s pavilion to get acquainted with eGovernment projects and eServices that cover all lifecycle stages for individuals and businesses offered to all through multi delivery channels such as the National eGovernment Portal (bahrain.bh), the Mobile Portal, eServices Centers, the National Contact Centre and Self-service ekiosks.
The invitation also extends to business owners and investors to discover the investment opportunities available in the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of information and communications technology and take advantage of the presence of private sector institutions in this regional gathering that provides a platform bringing together businesses, investors and company representatives to exchange their views in an environment where partnerships between private and public sectors emerges.
The participation of the public sector at GITEX 2011 is at 10% while private sector participation has reached 90%.
The Kingdom’s pavilion at GITEX is a window to exhibit opportunities and facilities offered to investors with the aim of introducing the advantages of investment in the Kingdom of Bahrain and communicate investment as a pivotal promotional mechanism emphasized by exhibitors to attract investment and highlight the competitiveness and productivity of the Kingdom of Bahrain as a unique financial center that avail a set of investment opportunities and facilities offered by government for various sectors to achieve the sustainable development in line with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
GITEX technology week 2011 includes diverse events in its sectors and tracks ranging from an exhibition and conference in Cloud Computing, Digital Media, GITEX Card Technology, Global Conferences, Business Solutions, Consumer Technology, eGovernment, Mobile, Applications and Content World.
