Dr. Abdul-Hussain bin Ali Mirza, Minister of Energy, Chairman of National Oil and Gas Authority and Chairman of Bapco’s Board, who chaired Bapco’s Board held at Al-Dar in Awali, said that the Lube Base Project would be opened on November 29th.
At the outset of the meeting, the Dr Mirza extends his thanks and appreciation for the valued continuous support and follow-up of the wise political leadership led by HM the King, HRH the Prime Minister, and HRH the Crown Prince Deputy Supreme Commander.
The Chairman pledged to exert double efforts to improve Bapco’s operations and enhance its contributions in national economy. During the meeting, Board members reviewed a number of key issues related to Bapco’s operational performance, in addition to reviewing Audit Committee report and 2012 budget.
The meeting also reviewed key human resources and organizational issues and discussed productivity improvement plan and current projects including the preparations for the inauguration ceremony of the Lube Base Project planned for 29th November 2011 and future projects including the ambitious Refinery Master Plan to increase the capacity and upgrade the projects.
The meeting also discussed Bapco’s measures for implementing the views of the National Dialogue.
The Chairman thanked Board Members, Bapco Management and employees for their dedicated role in serving the company.
The Minister hailed the financial and operational performance of the Company, praising Bapco’s ability to continue its growth and prominent status locally and globally.
Dr. Mirza issued his directives for continuing the fine efforts to face the challenges of the industry and enhancing Bapco’s leading status regionally and internationally.
