The Lower Criminal Court sentenced this morning six people involved at City Center’s case not guilty while the rest were sentenced to six months in prison.
The Public Prosecution received a report that people were protesting at City Center mall creating chaos and fear amongst the mall’s visitors which led to the closure of shops there, so the security forces dealt with situation in which 55 rioters were arrested at this illegal protesting.
The Public Prosecution referred 23 defendants immediately to the Criminal Court for questioning in which they founded guilty and was proven by their confessions and films provided by the security department at the mall which captured pictures showing their involvement at the protest.
