His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa issued an edict establishing a committee to ensure the follow up of the implementation of the National Consensus Dialogue Visions.
State Minister for Follow up Affairs Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Mutawa will chair the panel, while Shura and Representatives Councils’ Affairs Minister Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Fadhel, Cabinet Affairs Minister Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed and Head of HRH Premier’s Court Shaikh Hosam bin Isa Al Khalifa will be its members.
According to the edict, the committee may invite to its meetings any one whose expertise may benefit its working.
The committee has to ensure that the National Consensus Dialogue recommendations are included within the government work plan 2011-2014 and follow up the steps taken by ministries and state departments to translate those visions into the ground through timely executive plans and according to national performance and development indices, so as to ensure that the citizens’ aspirations and needs are met.
The panel will also have to coordinate with the concerned sides in order to provide the necessary support to overcome the obstacles that may delay the implementation of the National Consensus Dialogue proposals, prepare periodical reports on the implementation process, including recommendations to ensure its efficiency and quality, and collaborate with the ministries and state departments regarding the media side so as to ensure that the public is updated on the measures taken.
The edict also requested all ministries and government departments, establishments and companies to fully cooperate with the panel.
