The Military Prosecutor Colonel Dr. Yousif Rashid Flaifil announced on Tuesday that the First Instance Safety Court issued verdicts in police officer kidnapping case in which the court sentenced nine to 15 years in Jail.
The court issued a verdict in a case wherein outlwas kidnaaped a police office and kept him captivity in one of the accused house, in addition blindfolding the victim and the use of force and threatening to harm him significantly where one of the offenders named Moh’d Habib Miqdad instigated through his speeches that were delivered in Gulf Cooperation Council Roundabout(Now Al Farooq Intersection) demonstrations to abuse and harm any policemen as well as abducting them, where such crimes were committed for terrorism and police abusing and retaliation reasons, the Court ruled against the offenders with15 years’ imprisonment including Yousif Radhi Mansoor; Moh’d Ali Ahmad Isa Al Malali; Mustafa Abdul Jalil Radhi; Hassan Ali Hassan Al Qaidoom; Ridha Hassan Radhi; Mahdi Abdul Nabi Ahmad Nasser; Waheed Hassan Al Manawi; Jasim Moh’d Ali Al Hayaki and Moh’d Habib Al Safaf ( Al Miqdad)
The Court ruled the following as not guilty Naeema Radhi Mansoor; Abdullah Isa Al Mahroos and Nasser Badir Al Ras.
The court referred the jurisdiction of Moh’d Ali Abdullah case to the ordinary courts.
*Court awards 10 years jail for kidnapping police officer
In the second case regarding the number of outlaws that kidnapped the policeman Saif-Allah Moh’d Ibrahim, after the decision of attacking and abducting as many policemen as possible, the victim was abducted near his home late at night, after identifying his position the policeman was beaten, tied up and dragged into a car that driven him to the GCC roundabout (Al Farooq Intersection) where he was presented to the huge crowd that gathered there, then the policeman was held prisoner in SMC, some offenders stole and hid his car and money, where all these crimes were committed for terrorism purposes in order to intimidate and terrorize the security men as well as hinder the performance of their duties. The court has ruled the defendants with 10 years’ imprisonment namely Moh’d Habib Al Safaf (Al Miqdad); Fat’hi Mansoor Omran Salim; Ali Jassim Ali Jawad AL Muqahwi and Abdullah Hassan Abdullah Al Yousif. The Court ruled following as not guilty Aqeel Ahmad Ali Mahfoodh; Jameel Ali Salman Al Oqayfa and Fakhri Abdullah Rashid Khalil.

Regarding those outlaws that promoted overthrowing the regime and changing the political system of the country by force and illegal means that included rallies, illegal demonstrations, resisting arrest, disobedience and calling for strikes during working hours, as well as broadcasting false media and malicious speeches on the GCC roundabout and a number of news stations that contained incorrect information of the internal situation in the Kingdom of Bahrain, all illegal actions were taken in order to sow panic among citizens, residents and harm the public interest. Several fabricated pictures and scenes were transferred to external media to that does not reflect reality to harm the reputation of the Kingdom, in addition to a number of protests that took place at public areas with purposes of breaching security and public order, where the court sentenced the offenders with 10 years’ imprisonment including Hadi Moh’d Al Madrasi; Ali Ahmad Kadhim Mahfoodh; Abdullah Ibrahim Ahmad Saleh; Sayed Mahdi Hadi Ridha Ibrahim; Jassim Ali Ahmad Yousif Al Dumistani and Talal Abdul Hamid Moh’d Al Jamri.
The court sentenced the with five years’ imprisonment to Yassir Abdullah Ibrahim Saleh; Moh’d Ibrahim Hussain; Ali Masha’allah Ali; Jafaar Abdullah Hassan Ali; Edrees Abdul Husain Habib; Habib Abdullah Hassan Al Jamri; Abdul Adheem Ghuloom Abbas Darweesh Al Muhtadi and Moh’d Ali Ali Abdullah.
The court ruled the following as not guilty Kamal Ahmad Kamal; Adel Ibrahim Ali Al Jamri; Khalid Majed Ameen Moh’d; Hassan Abdullah Abdul Kareem Ali; Ghulam Khair Allah Moh’d Mohammady; Fadhil Ahmad Ali Al Mahfoodh; Sayed Hadi Ridha Ibrahim Al Mosawy; Sayed Moh’d Ridha Murtadha Ali Abdi and Habib Darweesh Mosa Ghuloom.
The Military Prosecutor confirmed that the convicts have the right to appeal the ruling to the National Supreme Court of Appeal based on the regular criminal courts of the Decree Law No. (28) for the year 2011, as well as appeal to the Civil Court of Cassation.
The hearing was attended by representative of human rights associations, as well as representatives from the media and a number of the defendants and victims’ families.
