VIVA Bahrain is delighted to introduce the new BlackBerry Torch 9810 smartphone, featuring the next generation BlackBerry 7 operating system.
Building on the popular design of the BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphone, the BlackBerry Torch 9810 is faster and more fluid with new, high performance hardware features and the BlackBerry 7 OS delivering an enhanced multimedia experience. With its large 3.2”, high resolution touch display and a distinctive BlackBerry keyboard that easily slides out to allow faster typing, the BlackBerry Torch 9810 truly delivers the best of both worlds.
VIVA offers the BlackBerry Torch 9810 smartphone with the new VIVA social bundle plans and access to the BlackBerry App World application store. Customers who use their smartphones primarily for social networking can benefit from the new VIVA social package, which provides access to BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) alongside other networking applications such as Twitter, Facebook and MySpace, as well as instant messaging tools MSN Messenger, Google Talk, Yahoo! Messenger and AOL Instant Messenger. The package is available for only BD1 per week for prepaid and BD3 per month for postpaid. VIVA customers can dial *105*2# to activate the postpaid service and *105*5# for the prepaid service. For a limited promotional period, customers who sign up for this service can also enjoy data usage of up to 200MB, ensuring the full BlackBerry internet experience.
VIVA customers have free access to its exclusive application store for Blackberry. The first-of-its-kind store in Bahrain offers both free and paid applications in 13 different categories such as productivity, games, finance and fitness. To guarantee convenient usage, customers will not need to create an app store account or a credit card for payments. Instead, the amount will be charged to their bills. To access the app store, customers can send an SMS to 88228 in order to receive URL link to download the app store application.
“Our continued partnership with Research In Motion ensures that we are introducing the latest BlackBerry smartphones to our customers,” Andrew Hanna, VIVA CCO, said. “It is part of our commitment to offer Bahrain the absolute best.”
The BlackBerry Torch 9810 features the next generation BlackBerry Browser, which combines the dramatically improved performance of the advanced WebKit browser engine together with the powerful hardware enhancements to deliver browsing results that are up to 40% faster than BlackBerry 6 based smartphones and up to twice as fast as models running BlackBerry 5. Additional enhancements to the browser have also optimized HTML5 performance for incredible gaming and video experiences.
