Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa attended the 4th session of the Arab-Turkish Forum in Rabat, Morocco.
Shaikh Khalid hailed the keynote speech of Moroccan King Mohammed VI, describing it as a roadmap laying the foundations for joint Arab-Turkish cooperation.
He pointed out the need for Arab-Turkish cooperation to restore regional strategic balance and achieve security and stability. He stressed the importance of promoting Arab-Turkish economic cooperation, particularly infrastructure and transportation.
The Foreign Minister highlighted the importance of the planned Arab-Turkish railways in promoting bilateral relations. The ministers approved a strategic plan to promote cooperation between the Arab countries and Turkey. They also endorsed Rabat Initiative2012-2015 for comprehensive and sustained partnership- a blueprint to bolster pan-Arab political, economic, social and cultural cooperation.
