Bahrain Bourse (BHB) organized a workshop on Business Continuity and Safety at the Workplace. Fouad Rashid, Director of the Bourse, and Shaikh Khalifa Al Khalifa, Deputy Director attended the workshop along with BHB’s staff.
This workshop was organized as part of a the bourse’s comprehensive Business Continuity Program (BCP) to go in line with the requirements of the Central Bank of Bahrain and the implementation of best practices and BCP international standards. This is to ensure BHB’s capability to continue providing its services to all concerned parties effectively in case of emergency and crisis.
BHB has formed a team made up of a group of staff members called the Business Continuity Team, headed by the Director of the Bourse who will be responsible of managing responsibilities, and taking decisions during emergency and crisis.
The Business Continuity and Safety at the Workplace workshop commenced with presenting the organizational structure of the Business Continuity Team at BHB. The team then introduced the BCP team members, and explained their various responsibilities. The workshop also addressed how BHB staff should react in case of emergency and crisis and explained the process of evacuation.
