The Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning launched its 2014 strategy entitled “growth and development” in the presence of Deputy Premier Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa. During the launch, the Minister of Municipalities’ Affairs and Urban Planning Dr Juma Al Ka’abi said this launch came towards further development and improvement in the progress of municipal work consider a historical move for a better future.
He added that the launch of the strategy was within the framework of the kingdom’s governmental programme headed by His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and part of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 in addition to the National Strategy 2009-2014 initiatives.
The minister said that the strategy came also in line with the infrastructure strategy 2030 that is supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander. In addition to that the minister indicated that the project includes a new strategy that serves the Bahraini community and satisfies the Bahrain excellence programme requirements.
The minister emphasized that the ministry would continue to exert efforts towards achieving higher levels of excellence in its overall performance with the participation of all with this regard.
Dr Al Ka’abi highlighted that the new strategy was based on a comprehensive administrative environment, urban planning supportive of development, municipal services of high standards and an active agricultural sector.
