In line with its endeavours to strengthen the cooperation and exchange of expertise between the GCC countries, the eGovernment Authority will participate in the 2nd GCC eGovernment Conference and Exhibition to be held in Kuwait from November 13 to 15, 2011 under the patronage of Shaikh Nasser Mohammed Al Ahmad Al Sabah, the Prime Minister of Kuwait.
The eGovernment Authority participation aims at exchanging experience and knowledge in the providing and provision of eServices, capacity building and digital performance, and share the experiences of the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries to gauge the achievements that have been attained in respect of the knowledge economy.
Bahrain will participate in the three-day conference with a delegation from the eGovernment Authority along with other government ministries and entities, along with high level CEOs from government ministries and organizations supervising various eGovernment programs in the GCC region, in addition to decision makers, specialized academicians and ICT professional from around the globe. An exhibition will also be on the side to showcase each gulf country eGovernment Experience.
Mohammad Al Qaed, the eGovernment Authority CEO is one of conference key speakers at a special panel discussion that brings together all the GCC chief executives of the eGovernment programmes on Monday 14 November 2011.
Al Qaed will shed light on the legal framework for eGovernment programs in the GCC countries and their legislative readiness, alongside the challenges ahead.
The eGovernment Authority delegates will participate in the conference sessions with two key papers. The first one is titled “The Interactive Meeting System Utilized by government and ministry Committees” to be presented by Nezar Ma’roof, the Managing Director for Government Support Programmes, and Dr Ali AlSoufi, University of Bahrain professor and the expert of the National Enterprise Architecture Framework project will present the second paper entitled “Bahrain National Enterprise Architecture Framework (NEAF) Initiative”.
The conference will address central issues pertaining to the technological development of eServices within the context of prompting the mutual technological and scientific cooperation between the GCC countries towards improving their competitive capacity in all fields.
