Silah Gulf (Silah), a multi-award winning contact centre and business process outsourcing (BPO) company, has added additional services to the National Contact Centre (NCC) of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Operated by Silah, the centre provides one-stop access to government services for citizens, residents and visitors to the Kingdom.
Through the NCC hotline, 8000 8001, the general public can now take appointments for driving training classes, track of postal packages, get flight information and submit labour and Electricity and Water Authority payment complaints. You can also get the latest information on cultural events, weather, Bahrain’s embassies abroad, child immunization, Commercial Registration application follow-up, Housing Services eligibility criteria and register for unemployment.
“Through the National Contact Centre, government is open 24×7. It is important to give the general public an alternate information source for their queries and the NCC is fulfilling this critical role exceptionally well,” Joe Tawfik, Silah CEO, Silah said, while commenting on the landmark NCC achievement.
“In the past quarter, we registered a 25% increase in informational calls highlighting the importance the public places in such services. For other advertised services such as flight information and booking driving class appointments, we registered a 300% increase in call volume generating substantial traffic for the NCC. The high increase in usage confirms the growing popularity of this new service,” Tawfi, added.
“Thanks to our rigorous training process our specially trained agents continue to deliver quality service achieving a consistent quality score of over 90%. The Silah team deserves full recognition for their efforts in achieving world’s best practices in such a short period,” he said.
Established in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 with the strategic objective of providing the best contact centre services at par with current international standards, the Silah operated NCC is a joint venture between Bahrain’s eGovernment Authority and UK-based Merchants.
