BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking, handed over a cheque of BD7550 as a gesture of their support towards inJAz Bahrain.
Abdulkarim Bucheery, Chief Executive of BBK welcomed Her Highness Sheikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Executive Director of inJAz Bahrain, in the presence of Badria Naqi, inJAz Bahrain Deputy Executive Director, and from BBK Abdul Hussain Bustani, Assistant General Manager Human Resources and Administration Division, Rafa Kaddoura Corporate Communication Manager, Abeer Swar, Corporate Communication Officer and Narjis Aseeri, inJAz Bahrain Coordinator in the Bank.
InJAz Bahrain has been receiving regular support from BBK over the past years in the form of financial aid and provision of volunteers to deliver its programs to school students. BBK has been part of inJAz Bahrain board of directors since its inception in January 2005. The financial contributions extended by BBK to inJAz Bahrain along with the provision of staff volunteers from the bank help the organization reach out to school students with programs of entrepreneurships, financial literacy and work readiness focus.
“BBK financial support towards inJAz Bahrain is considered to be a token of appreciation for the economic based programs that this non-profit entity offers to the community. inJAz Bahrain is spreading the power of knowledge within the young generation, making it easier for the students to decide on their career path from a very young age and we are proud to be of assistance to such a movement,” the bank in a statement said.
“As one of the major financial institutions in Bahrain, providing regular contributions to various humanitarian causes and societies throughout the years, BBK has supported entities including major clubs, charity funds and social initiatives. These initiatives are aimed at achieving the sole goal and vision of a brighter future and community in the Kingdom of Bahrain,” it added.
