BIPA Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) to announce the results of its pioneering research initiative, Qudurat, within Bahrain’s public sector.
The event, which will be formally opened by Kamal Ahmed, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Bahrain, is the culmination of over a year’s work between both BIPA and Aon Hewitt, and marks the conclusion of the first wave of the pioneering research study.
Qudurat has been designed and developed by Aon Hewitt to be the first and largest research project of its kind in the Middle East, dedicated to national talent at the workplace. The Qudurat initiative in Bahrain was seeking to understand the unique work orientations of Bahraini nationals, with the aim of providing an in-depth analysis of what drives and motivates talent at the workplace. The study was launched in Bahrain and across the GCC in July 2010 and was conducted via an online survey in both English and Arabic.
“BIPA is very excited about launching the results of this critical research study on November 30, in partnership with Aon Hewitt. We believe that this compelling data will allow us to further improve the advancement of Bahraini nationals over the coming years, as part of our commitment to Bahrain’s National Vision for 2030. Moreover, we aim to undertake the second phase of Qudurat with a larger Bahraini sample group in 2012, to understand more fully the dynamics and complexities of our national workforce, and how best to enhance our human capital resources,” Dr. Ra’ed Mohammed Bin Shams, Director General, BIPA, said.
“Qudurat directly addresses the single biggest HR challenge – and opportunity – currently facing the GCC, that of national talent development. By combining evidence-based consulting with research insights and factual analysis, we believe that we can help organizations across the region better understand and maximize this HR opportunity. We have been delighted to partner with BIPA on Qudurat to support the research within the Government sector, and are looking forward to announcing the key findings at the forthcoming press conference and launch event,” Dr Markus Wiesner, Chief Executive Officer, Aon Hewitt MENA, said.
